About ElectricTractors.co.uk

ElectricTractors.co.uk is an independent UK information site about electric tractors and the wider electrification of agricultural machinery. It exists because most material on the subject is either manufacturer marketing or general environmental commentary, and neither answers the practical questions a British farmer, smallholder or estate manager actually has.

What we do

We research and publish plain-English explainers on how battery-electric tractors work, what they cost to buy and run, how long batteries last, what charging requires on a working farm, and which jobs the current generation of machines can realistically do. Every article states its assumptions, particularly for cost calculations, because electricity prices, duty cycles and diesel prices vary widely.

How we work

  • We do not sell machinery, take dealer commissions or accept payment for coverage.
  • We avoid quoting specific model performance figures unless they can be attributed; where the evidence base is thin, we say so.
  • Reference material is listed openly on our sources page.
  • Photography on this site is illustrative and shows generic machinery rather than specific commercial models.
